It is manufactured from a solid billet of high-strength, corrosion-resistant titanium alloy. The one-piece construction dramatically simplifies regular maintenance as there are no parts to disassemble for cleaning and no lubrication is required. Rotational precision Traditional external hexagon connections show rotational error on the order of 4 to 7 degrees. In contrast, the Thommen Implant System internal hexagon connection allows a theoretical maximum of only 2.3 degrees and 1.8 degrees.
